The Rental Disputes Center in Dubai has launched a training program for newly appointed judges to strengthen judicial efficiency and advance the justice system. The initiative aims to equip them with the knowledge and skills to perform their judicial duties effectively while familiarizing them with the various laws and regulations governing the center’s operations.
The training program consists of courses and workshops covering both theoretical and practical aspects of judicial work, focusing on the Rental Disputes Center’s jurisdiction and responsibilities. It seeks to achieve several key objectives, including:
● Introducing judges to the values and traditions of judicial work while reinforcing their understanding of the ethical and professional standards that govern the judiciary.
● Providing a comprehensive overview of procedural and substantive laws related to rental disputes, ensuring an in-depth understanding of the legal framework governing such cases.
● Enhancing judges’ knowledge of rental and joint real estate ownership laws, equipping them with the necessary expertise to handle related disputes effectively.
Additionally, the program familiarizes judges with the electronic systems used at the Rental Dispute Center and trains them on digital platforms to streamline case management and decision-making. It also guides the drafting of judicial rulings, ensuring clarity and accuracy in legal decisions. The 12-week training includes workshops, lectures, and discussion sessions designed to enhance judges' abilities to manage cases effectively at the Rental Dispute Center. Key topics covered include civil transactions law, joint real estate ownership, rental law, the use of artificial intelligence in judicial rulings, electronic case management, judicial statistics and indicators, communication skills, deliberation strategies, and financial leasing.
At the launch of the program, His Excellency Marwan bin Ghalita, Director General of the Dubai Land Department, welcomed the new judges, stating:
